1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Until quite recently grocery business in the country, were characterized as essentially background and a cog in the over all development of Nigerian economy. As a result of this, there has been prevalent feeling that such business could assisted, through information system.
By definition, Grocery is a kind of business that deals with selling of food, and household items.
Meanwhile, too little attention has been paid to the benefits that could be derived from helping grocery businesses to be computerized, mordernize and grow. This attitude arose partly from general ignorance and apathy amongst the grocery business owners and mainly from the very nature of the business, which made it difficult for its impact to be felt in the information system.
However, due to much problem being encountered the running of this business activity manually, there is need to invent computers as an electronic method of running this business activities.
The latent contributions in which grocery business enterprises can be make has now been recognized. This awareness in manifested in the large number of Nigerians who are now striving to put their personal ideas and abilities to effective use by starting Grocery Business. Another evidence in thie very fact that government in now direct its efforts towards the development of the sector of the economy by the use of information system.
Inspite of its numerous advantages such as computerized information system, provision of employment opportunities, product of mini markets, quicker development of rural areas and the attention given to it by the government.
The grocery business organization is still confronted with problems. One of such problem is no knowledge of information system, which in very important to do business, from the time a business idea in conceived of, to the promotional stage. It is therefore not purposing that the issue of information system and their design and implementation is a major concern to small business organization. The typical business man is always worried over the need of information system towards his business; as well as how to design and implement such business into information system. The problems will be looked into closely in this study.
It is not worthy that most of the grocery business enterprises in Nigeria are sole proprietorship. Sole proprietorship, this is the simplest form of business, as the name suggests, there is on owner who in personally responsible for everything done by the business. He may have a number of people working for him, but the critical elements of ownership is in this hands.

1.2 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
This research work is design to investigate the role of information system in the survival of grocery business, and to see if information system can help the growth of grocery business.
Consequently, grocery business face a lot of problems particularly information system. In some cases, they have been

Hospital is an aspect that schedule plays a vital role for succeful achievement of its curriculums. Hospital work take a succeeding step. Each step has a specified duration of time and a mapped out work coed associated with it. The time stipulated to be utilized maximally to enable you cover the work load elaborately.
The issue of analysis the work load and time involved in an Hospital category and distributing the work load is time intervals. For maximum knowledge in pact it a great concern to the professorate in the field. This is where comprehensive medical duties schedule is always designed to suit the curriculum.
Medical duties schedule does not only involved the all capture of time duties to medical personnel, it also involve the careful allocation other resources like cabour force ad space available. When all these factor are not adequately taken care of, it lead to classes which hinder the effective Hospital operation.
1.1 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
The problem associated with the old manual system of medical outies scheduling hindered effective table predication.
It takes a lot of time to process the volume of data involved menially. This makes analysis and synthesis difficult for man to carry out.
The existing system waste a lot of time. This delay the in effect set back of the Hospital operation. The manual medical duties scheduling causes lot of have and clashes. Duties clashes between Doctors also medical duties scheduling unreliable.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
A quality control system in production management is a qualitative technique with strong financial implications having direct relationships with production, marketing, purchasing and financial politics.

Also, it is a system used in the management of stocks held by any organisation as it concern addition to, storage and removals from the trading stock with appropriates record keeping.

ANAMMCO LTD, Enugu as an assembly plant maintains a large amount of stock vehicles spare parts which are imported from any of her vendors, Vce:- MBAG. Mercedes Benz AG Germany, MBBRAS. Mercedes – Benz Brazil or MBE – Mercedes. Benz Espama for the production line or sales to distributors or authorized agents dealers.

The stock are held for various among which are:-
(a) To ensure unit sufficient goods are available to meet anticipated demand.
(b) To provide a better between production processes.
This is, applicable to work in project stocks which effectively decouple operation.
(c) To meet possible shortage in future
(d) To absorb seasonal fluctuation in usage or demand.
(e) To enable production process to flow smoothly and efficiently.
(f) As a necessary part of the production process.
All these are logical yet, stocks accumulate due to the Less promise worthy reasons which are:-
(a) Obsolete items are retained in stock
(b) Poor or non-existing inventory control resulting in over targe orders, replacement orders being out of phase with production etc.
(c) Inadequate or non-existing stock records
(d) Marketing departments.

Whether as a deliberate policy or not, sticks, represents an investment by the organization. Thus, as with any other investment, the cost of holding stock most be related to the benefit to benefit to be gains. To do this effectively the cost must be identified and this can be done in the three categories:-
(a) Cost of obtaining stock
(b) Stock out costs.
All these spare parts which may how similar menu by description varies greatly among themselves depending on the type or model of vehicle using them. Thus, the management and operation of stories function and the control of stock on only be performed in on efficient manner when there is an appropriate means of up turning and storing information and a facility for the analysis and use of this information.
In the light of the above, ANAMMCO Ltd Enugu maintains a visible record system returned to as KARDEX, a manual form of inventory control system.

As a prerequisite in any quality control system, ANAMMCO Ltd maintains a peculiar but unique coding system such that all the numerous spare parts are each uniquely coded and identified for accurate and specific information on them.
The operation of the KARDX was often prove to redundancy or duplication of items whenever there is instilling; it requires a lot of paper work with their possible variations or discrepancies during documentation; it involves, so many people thereby investing a lot of man hours; increased cost of procure storage of non-moving or obsolete items leads to customer dissatisfaction due to time wasting and unavailability of information. Thus, the efficiency of the system is greatly dependent on human factor and as such accuracy.

So, it is an attempt to rectify and modify the above inadquaciets that we have decided to develop and implement on integrated computerized stock control system so as to maximize the operation efficiency, ensure customer satisfaction based on quick.
Services, minimize the non-hour requirement involved, reduce the running costs, guarantee accuracy and at the same time generate reports that assist management in her decision making as it concerns planning, organizing and controlling.
1.2 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY (MB-ANAMMCO LTD) ENUGU.

CHAPTER ONE

1.0     INTRODUCTION

Transcript can be defined as the statement or record of academic performance of a student within the period of study in an institution. An academic transcript is used to inform an institution or organization the general performance of the student.

The manual system of applying for the transcript has not been efficient. Hence there have been enormous cost incurred as well as delay in submitting application for the processing of transcript. Owing to these problems the researcher looked at designing an efficient design and implementation of web-based transcript system.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has come a long way with a giant strides geared towards achieving an information society where stored data can be relinquished instantly with virtually less or no human intervention. The hallmark of the information and communication technology is that the world has been shrunk into a global village. Hence from a given remote terminal, one can get information from different sources. This is not an easy thing to do, it will be achieved by designing a universal networking protocols (TCP/IP) for this inroads to be made which begot the internet.

The web is one of the internet services that contain information normally divided into web pages which are joined together with the help of hyperlinks.

1.1     BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic in a tertiary institution in           Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. It was founded       in           1991. The Polytechnic has schools of apply      Science,           Communication Art, Preliminary Studies, Business    and           Management ,Engineering, Environmental Study and          Legal Study.

The polytechnic in owned by Akwa Ibom State Government. In 2010, the state allocated, about one billion Naira to enhances the polytechnic educational system. And has Professor Sylvester Akpan as its Rector. The National Diploma program was introduced in the 1995/1996 academic section. In addition, there are eight (8) non academic divisions namely: Rector, Registry, Bursary works services, medical services, and student affairs division, centre for consultancy services and centre for evening programs. However the day to day administration of the polytechnic is run by the management committee which is made up of the Rector and all the Heads of Division. Presently, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has the above listed schools that needs the attention of the exams and records department as regards to conducting exams, keeping the academic performance record of students they are used mostly in processing of result and transcripts.
